Steve Rausch, Attorney

Capital City Law LOGO.png

Steve Rausch is an estate planning and business attorney with years of practice in Idaho's Treasure Valley. Having his own practice in the beautiful city of Boise, he primarily focuses on estate planning, including trust and will-based planning, and in corporate/business formation, operation, mergers and acquisitions. Steve earned a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Idaho State University. Steve has four children ages 18 to 26 and in his spare time, he enjoys photography, baseball, and golf.

After graduation, he earned certification as a paralegal to get a sense of the world of law. He ended up at the largest law firm in Nevada, which represented casinos and other business segments in the gaming industry. After three years as a paralegal, Steve decided to take the next step. He was accepted at the University of Idaho Law School and graduated in two and a half years. He returned to Boise to practice litigation for a year and found it exhilarating at times, but more grueling than he had imagined. He found estate planning a much more positive experience.

Steve has worked closely over the last 15 years with financial professionals and insurance agents throughout the Treasure Valley, including teaching specialized continuing education classes. He has also volunteered his time to the CASA (Court Appointed Special Assistant) program. The CASA program assigns a guardian ad litem for children who have been removed from their parents and placed into the foster care system. Steve appeared at hearings and provided other pro bono services.
